ValHues

The regard that something is held to deserve; the importance, worth, or usefulness in something. Hue is the color. Value in art is the lightness or darkness of a color. Shadowed in the layers of paint are memories I cherish…Stories from periods of life.

My friend Erin and I were sharing a smores dessert at Via Forina. Taste this…Over a homemade creamy, fluffy dark chocolate pudding with savory buttery crunch grahamed cooke crumbles with a whippy marshmallow covered in beer batter with a goldened top...wow! I began sharing how I don't feel like I've taken many risks in life. We both said getting married was a risk for us. We struck a commonality of our different yet similiar experiences. Then we began discussing what we do doesn't define who we are. Personally, I am defined by whose I am. We agreed that the most important thing in our lives are relationships. We have been created for relationship. This is something I valHue.

Please journey with me, as you read the memory behind each piece of art work located below the photo gallery. Perhaps you will find stories of your own that surface along with gazing or inquiring about the beauty of the maker behind creation that is crying out.

Romans 1:20 FOr since the creation of the world, GOd's invisitble qualities , his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that people are without excuse. that's why I am using one color vs. full color . there is something more behind the value and hue just as there is a creator behind creation VALhUES Definition of values- Exploration season..Core Value book

HARVEST MOON~

My husband periodically gives me an invitation by taking my hand while he says, "Welcome to my dancefloor." Sometimes this happens in odd places... It has happened on a Arrowline bus, at Panera Bread on the patio, in our kitchen, and at 10pm on a fall night barefoot in the grass in our front lawn as we saw the moon peeking through the trees. Then Neil Young began to sing and my husband whispered the refrain into my ear...."I am still in love with you. I want to see you dance again. I am still in love with you on this harvest moon. Yes, very romantic until he began to howl like a coyote and I just laughed...He does this every time!

CRANBERRY LAKE~

Being single until age 42 had its perks. I was able to develop and seed into some great friendships. As I look back at the decade of my 30's, it was full of memories with freinds who lived off of 33rd and Webster Street. We rode our bikes everywhere in that part of our city. We had so many fun adventures, bonfires, and we would prayer walk that neighborhood. I recall sitting in my friends home having dinner one night, and we began to sing a song called Cranberry Lake. We attended a concert in Benson at ... We watched a singer songwriter named Arie Hest from NY play his heart out just him and his guitar. Cranberry Lake was my favorite song he played. I got to enjoy it with my favorite friend who shared this memeory. I never had a best friend until she came around. I am so grateful for her friendship through the years.
