“Every heart has so much history.  It’s my favorite place to start. Sit down awhile and share your narrative with me.  I’m not afraid of who you are”
- - “Alright Here” by Sara Groves

I love stories! The adventure and terrain of life is rugged but worth sharing.  The music and art I make often involve other people’s stories or trials I am personally walking through.  The way out is through and that brings hope!  Perhaps you will find some of your stories intersecting within the music and art shared here.

Art and Music Bio:

I got hooked on music… at age 9 as an alto saxophone player and singing in choir in high school. After college and a slight detour to Salt Lake City, Utah, I landed in Kansas City, Missouri. Soon after arriving, I found myself face to face with chronic, debilitating body pain. It was songwriting that helped me cope with the pain and became the impetus for the journey into my physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

You will find healing and faith as central themes in the tapestry of my work.  It is the stories of struggle, defeat, hope, and overcoming that continue to inspire me.  I believe everything in people’s lives (tragedy, brokenness, losses, etc.) can be used and nothing has to be wasted.

I have learned the craft of songwriting through traveling to Nashville, doing online coursework, visiting with producers, and being involved in NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International).  I was cast as a wedding singer in the Golden Globe Award Winning movie, About Schmidt, with Jack Nicholson. Additionally, I have enjoyed sharing creativity and teaching younger generations as a visual arts instructor at The 402 Arts Collective. I have taken many art courses and masterclasses with some amazing art instructors. I am certified as an Art Therapy Practitioner along with receiving a Mental Health Coach Certification.

I live in Omaha, NE.  I enjoy wide, open spaces, being in the country, watching the sunset with my husband, and napping with my cat, Lehni. Being mentored, mentoring others, and pouring into women is a gift I welcome and treasure.

ARTIST STATEMENT
Growing up in a rural community, Beth found endless inspiration in the quiet beauty of nature. Time spent outdoors nurtured a deep connection to landscapes, florals, and botanicals, which remain at the heart of her work. Creativity, to her, is a gift—one that brings healing, hope, and joy, and becomes even more meaningful when shared with others.

As a mixed-media artist, she creates from her studio in Omaha, NE.  She blends abstract and realistic elements to create layered compositions. Her process is intuitive: She builds color and texture in stages, allowing what’s stored in her heart to emerge one stroke at a time. Contrasting color palettes often reflect the tension between light and darkness, while their resolution speaks to renewal and peace.

Beth is also certified in Art Therapy and Mental Health Coaching.  She views artmaking as both revealing and therapeutic. Her work is rooted in storytelling and connection, encouraging viewers to pause, reflect, and find their own sense of healing and wonder.  Her intention is to craft pieces that invite examination, discovery, and transformation—stories where light overcomes darkness and hope rises above obstacles.

Looking forward, Beth aims to expand into group art therapy sessions and destination retreats, while continuing to create, collaborate, and curate art and music events within her community.  Teaching children, teens and adults is a passion of hers that brings life!
